Data loss today is very common. With the advent of the computer age, everything is so dependent on computers. Large companies use computers for everything and the loss of data has become one today’s major problems. Companies often lose very important information and files and have to resort to data recovery measures. Though most companies are under the illusion that the data recovery measures followed by them are sufficient, the truth is quite the opposite. Actually no one is fully aware of the working and implementation of data recovery processes. Looking into problems like Recover My Files review is a good idea.
However, if we look closer, the problem is not with data recovery - the trouble lies in the fact that there is no coordination in the data recovery process. A single person does not carry out the data recovery process and proper co-ordination is a must. The only solution when it comes to a proper plan is to create a similar simulated situation that will help us recognize the need of the moment. Unfortunately most companies do not test such situations, as it would involve simulating complete system failure. Attention must be paid to disaster recovery otherwise when a major catastrophe strikes, it will cause damage that could be immense. Data losses are mostly caused by computer viruses, natural calamities, system failures, etc. Terrorist attacks are also a major factor.
The September 11 attack on the World Trade Center had a great impact on the data recovery industry. After this attack many companies started investing their money in data recovery and data mining work. According to statistics presented by Veritas, a data recovery software producing company, about 97% percent of the companies face the problem of system outages and only 72% of the companies have data recovery plans. However, the striking fact is that companies with recovery plans have never tested them! Most data recovery plans are not effective because of such reasons.
In order to revolutionize the data recovery scenario, the head of business continuity at LogicaCMG, Jeannette O’ Neil explained certain steps that are being taken by the board to ensure proper data recovery services. This process will put a legal obligation on the board to take steps suo moto. The process will be executed via the Turnbull Report, which also contains the Code of Conduct and Ethics on Corporate Governance.
The problem of data loss cannot be completely eradicated but with the help of disaster recovery plans, we can minimize the damage. This disaster recovery plan will arm you accordingly and at the time of disaster you will at least know what to do. This will minimize the damage to a greater extent.

Remember the good old days, before the advent of the Internet and downloadable programs? Life was simple then in terms of computer viruses. With the primary way in which a virus could be transmitted being limited to floppy disks, the ability to catch and eradicate the virus was a lot easier.

I’m in real trouble I think. My computer crashed last week and everything was lost.
Luckily for me, a lot of my documents were backed up. I’m sick though about my iTunes files because I had not backed them up.
I had thousands of dollars worth of downloaded music on that computer from iTunes.
I’m happy though that most of those files are still available on my iPod. The challenge though is how to move them to my new iTunes. If you have a new iTunes, it will automatically delete all files on your iPod when you try to sync it.
Now I’m looking for a good ipod to itunes transfer software.
